Make a four-month commitment to your novel, with individual instruction from award-winning novelist Heather Newton. Before registering for this class, contact us at flatironwritersroom@gmail.com to select your start date. The first month, you’ll have an hour-long interview (choose between in-person and Zoom) in which Heather will ask you interview questions designed to get you thinking about all aspects of your novel. You’ll then have hard deadlines to turn in up to 20 pages for written feedback, with your beginning pages due Month 1, a climax chapter due Month 2, and your ending pages due Month 3 (no excuses). Your coaching will end with a half-hour session (on Zoom) to help you create a roadmap to finish your novel. This class will be most helpful to writers who have not yet completed a first draft. Limited to six students. Click HERE for a short video from Heather describing how the sessions will work. Students may return to Novel Sessions for subsequent rounds of coaching with three 20-page assignments custom designed to fit your project.
